Ian previously served as a Tax Consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick and as Director of Financial Planning for a national financial services firm. Ian, a faculty member of Long Island University — C.W. Post Center, lectures on Investments and Financial Planning in the Certified Financial Planning Program. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics with a Degree in Accounting from The City University of New York, Brooklyn College.
Ian has served as a Board Member of The Financial Planning Association (FPA), Long Island Chapter, where he was Vice President of Ethics and Vice President of Education. He was previously a Director of The National Children’s Leukemia Foundation and, in 1996, received that organization’s Lifesaver Award for his “tireless effort to assist children and their families.” In 1999, Ian became a two-time bone marrow donor through the New York Blood Center and the Leukemia Foundation and is still involved with both organizations. Ian and his firm were sought out by various relief organizations to provide financial consulting to the families that were affected by the 9/11 tragedy. He currently serves as a member of the Charitable Planned Giving Committee of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
Ian lives in Jericho, New York with his wife, Stephanie, and their two sons.
